Farmington Post-Release Supervision

Farmington Community Supervision Center is part of the Missouri Department of Corrections Division of Probation and Parole. District 12 serves St. Francois, Ste. Genevieve, and Madison counties. The center works with some people released from the Division of Adult Institutions and some people already under community supervision who need more structure. A person may report there after parole or conditional release from a state prison. Another person may be on probation ordered by a court without ever serving a state-prison term.

Those paths must stay separate. Parole is a discretionary release from prison under conditions set through the Missouri Parole Board process. Conditional release is a supervised part of an eligible Missouri sentence structured by law. Probation is a court sentence that permits community supervision instead of, or after, confinement. All can place a person in the community while MODOC remains involved. None means automatic final discharge.

Verify Farmington Supervision Status

The official MODOC Offender Search is the first public check for an active supervisee. Search by offender number when known because it is more precise than a name. Compare the returned identity and read the assigned place, field or institution indication, supervision status, and displayed dates as a group. A field assignment can support that a person left prison and is now under community supervision.

1. Search the exact MODOC offender number or compare all same-name results.
2. Read the displayed assignment and status without converting supervision into discharge.
3. Open the matching St. Francois County case in Case.net and identify the sentence type.
4. Confirm that District 12 is the assigned office rather than inferring it from residence.
5. Ask Constituent Services or the assigned officer about an appropriate status question when the public result is unclear.

MODOC’s public search is limited to active offenders and expressly excludes discharged offenders. A no-result is not proof that a person completed supervision. The official MODOC community supervision center listing is the source for the Farmington location and office telephone. A District 12 publication gives core hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and notes that officers can use adjusted schedules and appointments. Call the main office to verify a current appointment or after-hours arrangement rather than relying on an older staff name.

The office can route an inquiry, but confidentiality still controls what staff may disclose. Give the correctly spelled full name and offender number when available. Do not assume that living in St. Francois County means assignment to this center. District boundaries, special supervision needs, and agency decisions can affect the reporting office.

Request Farmington Supervision Records

A formal request for a state supervision or discharge record goes to the MODOC Sunshine Law custodian, not to the county sheriff. Identify the person, DOC number, court cause number, date range, and exact fields sought. Useful requests distinguish active supervision status, assigned office, release event, sentence dates, and final discharge. Search the litigant or case number, narrow to the relevant court, and review the judgment, sentence, probation order, warrants, violations, revocations, and later satisfaction or discharge-related entries. A court record can identify probation even when there was no prison release.

Court and MODOC records answer related but different questions. A court sets probation and enters its own orders. MODOC administers much of Missouri community supervision and maintains the active assignment. A revocation docket can explain a return to custody, while the MODOC result may show the current field or institution placement. Compare cause numbers and dates before treating the two records as belonging to the same episode.

Farmington Reentry Supervision Services

The local District 12 material identifies intake, Bridge Treatment aftercare, electronic or GPS monitoring, counseling, Pathway to Change, and GAP mentoring among its functions. These are local supervision and reentry facts. They do not prove that every person receives each service. An assigned officer or center staff member determines the relevant program and reporting instructions.

The center may serve people just released from an adult institution and people already supervised who need added structure. That role makes it a useful post-release contact, but it does not turn the building into a release gate or transport provider. Research found no basis to claim that the center picks up every FCC, ERDCC, or county-jail release. People planning a ride, reporting time, or appointment should confirm the exact instruction with the responsible office.

District publications have described adjusted officer schedules and extended availability on at least one weekday each month. Schedules can age. The main telephone number is the correct place to confirm a current reporting time before travel.

Farmington Supervision Discharge Records

Supervision ends through a formal discharge, not merely because a person stops appearing at the center. Missouri section 217.703 governs earned compliance credits for eligible people already under community supervision. A qualifying supervisee may earn credit toward final discharge, while an absconder does not earn it. This mechanism shortens eligible supervision. It is not institutional good time and does not release someone from the county jail or a prison.

When custody time, supervision time, and applicable credits satisfy the term and legal conditions, the Board or court can order final discharge. The division recalculates remaining months at least twice each year and provides notice as discharge approaches. Exact eligibility depends on the case. Use the court sentence, MODOC status, and formal discharge record rather than calculating an endpoint from a single date.

St. Francois Doubet Road Distinction

St. Francois County’s custody map has an address-level trap. Farmington Community Supervision Center is at 1430 Doubet Road. The St. Francois County Sheriff and county jail are at 1550 Doubet Road. The names and nearby addresses can make a search appear local and correct while it points to the wrong agency. The center handles MODOC community supervision. The sheriff controls county jail custody and release records.

Two state prisons add another layer. Farmington Correctional Center and Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center are MODOC institutions, not wings of the county jail. A person may leave FCC or ERDCC for parole or conditional release and then report through a field office. An ERDCC location change can also be an internal prison transfer after reception or classification. Search the current MODOC assignment before assuming community release.

This local distinction controls the record request. Ask District 12 or MODOC about supervision, the institution about an appropriate institutional matter, and the sheriff about a county release event. Similar place names do not merge legal custody.
